The basis of the project was a production of around 1200 terracotta sculptures in collaboration with Centre for Fine and Applied Arts Terra from Kikinda.
125 project participants – selected art academy students - realized these sculptures during 5 one-week long workshops in Terra according to prepared and approved sketches. More than 1.000 New Belgraders were displayed around the city at the festival’s opening night. Their mass presence in the city centre clearly marked the beginning and the character of the Festival. Being placed on the streets, sculptures interacted with citizens. After the closure of the festival, sculptures are donated to the kindergartens, schools, hospitals and medical institutions for children through the follow up project TERRAtoria - Art of Giving.
